Villa de Rota Winter Motorcycle Rally 2026: Cádiz's Biggest Bike Meet
Every spring, thousands of bikers from across Spain turn Rota into the motorcycle capital of the south. The 41st Villa de Rota Winter Motorcycle Rally is one of the largest events of its kind: the second oldest motorcycle gathering in Spain, with around 32,000 attendees and four unbroken decades of history.
From Costa Ballena, the venue is just 15 minutes by car — the perfect combination of a biker fiesta and rest by the sea.
Dates of the 2026 Rally
The 41st Villa de Rota Winter Motorcycle Rally takes place from Friday 20 to Sunday 22 March 2026. The date was postponed from the first weekend of February due to adverse weather conditions, by agreement between the organising Motoclub Roteño "Los Camaleones", Rota Town Hall and the security services.
The event takes place across several venues in the municipality: the municipal caseta, the Pabellón de Nueva Jarilla and the Escuela Hípica — all facilities made available by the Town Hall.
What Is the Villa de Rota Rally?
Organised by the Motoclub Roteño "Los Camaleones" for more than four decades, the Villa de Rota Winter Rally has grown into one of Andalusia's and southern Spain's most important motorcycle gatherings. It brings together bikers from all Andalusian provinces and beyond, with a mix of competition, exhibitions, gastronomy and live music.
Entry on foot is free. Motorcycles can only access the site with prior registration.

Rota Beyond the Rally
If you're attending the rally, take time to explore Rota at a slower pace. The historic old town with its medieval walls, the Castle of Luna and the Church of Nuestra Señora de la O are well worth a visit. And if there's one thing you absolutely must try in Rota, it's the famous Rota pizza — a unique local recipe with American influence that has become the town's culinary emblem.
Rota's coastline also has excellent beaches: Playa de la Costilla, Playa de la Ballena (bordering Costa Ballena) and the Paraje Natural de Las Dunas are perfect for a walk before or after the event.
Getting There from Costa Ballena
The rally venue is at Avenida de la Diputación 164, Rota, about 15 minutes by car from Costa Ballena via the A-491. During the rally weekend, Rota Town Hall activates a special traffic management plan with the involvement of the Local Police, National Police, Civil Guard and Civil Protection. It's worth arriving with plenty of time and following the directions of traffic officers.
Staying in Costa Ballena during the rally? Our penthouse with a 100 m² terrace and barbecue is 15 minutes from the venue — the perfect place to rest after three days of biking.
